13th Annual Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade & Festival

Chinese New YearCelebrate the Chinese New Year in Chinatown! This year is the year of the Dragon. The parade usually winds throughout Chinatown along Mott, Canal, and Bayard streets, and then along East Broadway.

The festival will feature elaborately decorated floats, marching bands, lion and dragon dances, incredible costumes musicians, magicians, acrobats and more. After the parade there will be an outdoor cultural on Bayard Street with more spectacle and pageantry.

This is such an amazing thing to see, we suggest you bundle up and get out there!

The Abominable, yes the big fuzzy scary thing of Christmas cartoon legend in the US is actually a Himalayan monster! Go see him in various cartoon renderings about Tibet at the amazing Rubin Museum of Art. The Rubin Museum of Art is dedicated to art of the Himalayas, so don't stop at Yeti, the place is a complete gem to stroll through.
